The Japanese students arrived! Our Japanese students name is Tukto.
Mrs Shaw and Mrs Ellis held auditions for the production. I was one of the first people to audition. In maths I have been doing BIDMAS and integers. I also learnt standard form. I had no idea what standard form was until we learnt it last week. But it is quite easy. I am now onto the extension work for maths. I finished writing my S.L.C and I didn't have to add anything on which is good. Mrs Shaw wanted me to write a speech to say at the Farewell assembly. I was really nervous. I think I did well although I did stumble over some words. We did heaps of work on commas, and where to put them. I knew where to put them, but needed a bit of revision. You always put commas before FANBOYS, and after the first phrase of a sentence if it starts with an AWUBIS word. We are also learning about the Holocaust. I knew nothing about the Holocaust, mainly because I had never heard the word. When I started to read stories about the Holocaust, I learnt that the Holocaust was during WW2. The Germans wanted a "perfect race", and the Jews, disabled, homosexuals and Jehovah Witnesses didn't fit in with the "superior race", so they were killed.
In the weekend I entered a team in for the Junior Farmer Competition that is held at Pokuru School. My team was Bobby, Holly and I. We also went to raglan to show our Japanese student the beach. We met up with Emma's family and it was heaps of fun. While I was in Raglan with Bobby and my family, we went swimming, shopping and better yet built sand castles (Although Emma and I mainly just covered Bobby in sand😂!).
Bye! Have a great week💛!
